The family-owned Frankel Building Group has developed a Palladian mansion the size of a small hotel, a “rustic” estate spanning more than 8,000 square feet, and a lavish five-bedroom residence evoking Santa Barbara charm and affluence. After 30 years building some of the most elaborate custom homes in town, the Frankels are launching a new company targeting buyers who don’t have the time or bank accounts for multimillion-dollar custom homes.”For the longest time people have told us that they love what we do but wish we offered something at a lower price point,” said Scott Frankel, co-president with his brother Kevin. The idea for the new company, BuildFBG, has been germinating for several years, but Hurricane Harvey sped up the launch.
